Bybit CSV: trade history or closed PnL?
Bybit has two useful exports and they solve different problems. Trade History is a fills file; Closed PnL is a round-trip file. Pick the wrong one and your trade count and R-multiple will be wrong.
How to export Bybit CSV
Choose Trade History or Closed PnL
Open Orders → Trade History for fills. Open Positions → Closed PnL for one row per closed position. Both can be exported to CSV.
Set the date range
Select the period and symbol. Closed PnL is usually the better choice if you want one row per trade; Trade History is better if you want to inspect partial fills.
Export CSV
Click Export and choose CSV. Keep Trade ID and Order ID in the trade-history file; they help avoid duplicate imports.
Use the matching importer
Closed PnL with Entry Price and Exit Price goes to the closed-trade importer. Trade History fills go to the fills pairing panel.
CSV columns you need to understand
Exact headers vary by export type and region. These are the columns that change the import result.
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Order ID | Order reference; repeats on partial fills. |
| Trade ID | Unique fill ID in Trade History. |
| Symbol | Trading pair or contract. |
| Side | Buy/Sell on the fill. |
| Qty | Base-asset quantity for linear contracts. |
| Entry Price | Closed PnL only; average entry. |
| Exit Price | Closed PnL only; average exit. |
| Fees | Trading fees; check the fee currency. |
Common Bybit CSV mistakes
- Importing Closed PnL into fills pairing treats every closed row as a new fill; use the closed-trade importer instead.
- Importing Trade History into the closed-trade importer fails because there is no exit price. Use fills pairing.
- Partial fills have repeated Order IDs but different Trade IDs; deduplicate by the composite, not the order.
- Bybit side values can describe the closing action in some exports. Use the file type to decide whether Side is opening or closing.
How SureGain handles Bybit files
SureGain detects Bybit Closed PnL and sends it to the closed-trade path, while Trade History goes to the fills path. The fills panel pairs FIFO and warns about open quantity; the closed panel imports one row per position directly.
Both paths run locally in your browser. No Bybit API key or login is required.
FAQ
Should I download Bybit Trade History or Closed PnL?+
If you want one row per closed trade and already have entry/exit prices, use Closed PnL. If you want to inspect partial fills or build trades yourself, use Trade History and fills pairing.
Why does my Bybit CSV show zero trades?+
The most common cause is importing a Closed PnL file into the fills panel, or a Trade History file into the closed-trade panel. Match the file type to the importer.
Does SureGain support Bybit spot and futures?+
Yes. Bybit Trade History and Closed PnL are detected; spot fills and linear futures fills use the same CSV flow.
Are Bybit fees and funding included?+
Fees from the CSV are included. Funding is not in the trade-history file; a Closed PnL export may include a funding field depending on the export type.
